Ag industry building trust through telling farmer stories

Farmers are continuing to work hard to put food on the plates of millions of Americans is the message the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) is working to convey.

Consumers could be becoming more interested in hearing about farmers’ stories than they ever have been, said Zippy Duvall, president of AFBF. He said part of that is driven by the pandemic, when food was flying off of grocery store shelves.

Duvall said AFBF will continue to tell those stories.

“We’re doing everything in our power to make sure that citizens of this country and policymakers understand all that hard work and the good intent that farmers have of doing the right thing.”

I interviewed Zippy Duvall at the 2022 National Association of Farm Broadcasting convention in Kansas City, Missouri.
